What the Pokemon Infinite Fusion Damage Calculator does
The Pokemon Infinite Fusion Damage Calculator helps you estimate how much damage one Pokemon can deal to another before a gym leader, rival, boss battle or Nuzlocke fight. Compare two fusions, two base Pokemon, or a fusion against a base Pokemon and see results in both directions at once.
- Fusion or base Pokémon on each side, using fused base stats and typing
- Level, IVs, EVs, nature and stat stages for every stat
- Abilities and held items that change damage, such as Huge Power, Levitate, Choice Band and Life Orb
- Weather, Reflect, Light Screen, burn and critical hits
- All 16 damage rolls, HP percentages and the exact chance to OHKO, 2HKO, 3HKO or 4HKO
- A speed check to show which Pokémon moves first
How to use the Pokemon Infinite Fusion Damage Calculator
- Set up Pokémon 1 and Pokémon 2. Choose Fusion or Base, then the head and body. Four damaging moves are filled in for you, and you can change them.
- Enter the details you know. Level, nature, ability, item, EVs, IVs and any stat boosts or drops. Set the current HP if the target is already damaged.
- Set the field. Choose the weather and tick Reflect, Light Screen or critical hit on the side it applies to.
- Read the results. Each move shows the share of the target’s HP it takes and its KO chance. Select a move for the full breakdown and every damage roll.
The console buttons work too: up and down change Pokémon 1, left and right change Pokémon 2, A rolls a random matchup and B swaps the two sides.
Pokemon Infinite Fusion damage formula
Pokémon Infinite Fusion uses the same damage formula as the modern main series games. The calculator starts with the base damage:
Base = ⌊⌊⌊2 × Level ÷ 5 + 2⌋ × Power × A ÷ D⌋ ÷ 50⌋ + 2
A is the attacker’s Attack or Special Attack and D is the target’s Defense or Special Defense, after natures, EVs, IVs, stat stages, abilities and items. The base damage is then multiplied, in order, by:
- Weather (1.5× or 0.5× for Fire and Water moves)
- Critical hit (1.5×)
- A random roll from 85% to 100%
- STAB, the same-type attack bonus (1.5×, or 2× with Adaptability)
- Type effectiveness (0× to 4×)
- Burn (0.5× for physical moves)
- Other effects such as screens, Life Orb, Expert Belt, Multiscale and resist berries
How Pokemon Infinite Fusion stats affect damage
In fusion mode the calculator uses the fused base stats, so the head and body order matters a lot. HP, Special Attack and Special Defense come two-thirds from the head. Attack, Defense and Speed come two-thirds from the body. A physical attacker usually hits much harder with the stronger physical Pokémon as the body.
Typing matters too. The fusion takes its primary type from the head and its secondary type from the body, which decides both its STAB moves and its weaknesses. Check both orders in the fusion calculator or the type calculator.
Pokemon Infinite Fusion Damage Calculator limitations
It covers the effects that matter in most in-game battles, but not every rule in the game. Moves whose power depends on the battle, such as Low Kick, Grass Knot, Return, Gyro Ball and Eruption, are marked as variable. Multi-hit moves show the damage of one hit. Abilities and items that don’t change damage directly can still be selected, but have no effect on the numbers. Eviolite applies when either half of a fusion can still evolve.
Frequently asked questions
How does the Infinite Fusion damage calculator work?
It builds each side's stats from the fused base stats, then applies the standard Pokémon damage formula used by modern games: level, move power, the attacking and defending stats, then modifiers such as weather, critical hits, the random roll, STAB, type effectiveness, burn, screens, abilities and items.
Why is the damage shown as a range?
Every attack uses a random multiplier between 85% and 100%, which gives 16 possible damage values. The calculator shows all 16 rolls, the lowest and highest, and what share of the target's HP each one takes.
What do OHKO and 2HKO mean?
OHKO means the attack knocks the target out in one hit. 2HKO means it takes two hits, 3HKO three, and so on. The calculator gives the exact chance of each by combining every possible damage roll.
Does the calculator use fused stats?
Yes. In fusion mode, HP, Special Attack and Special Defense come two-thirds from the head and one-third from the body, and Attack, Defense and Speed come two-thirds from the body. The fusion's typing uses the head for the primary type and the body for the secondary type.
Which abilities and items are included?
Common damage-changing ones are included, such as Huge Power, Guts, Technician, Adaptability, Levitate, Thick Fat, Multiscale, Choice Band, Choice Specs, Life Orb, Expert Belt, Assault Vest, Eviolite, type-boosting items and resist berries. Abilities and items that don't change damage are listed but have no effect on the result.
Are there moves the calculator can't work out?
Moves whose power depends on battle conditions, such as Low Kick, Grass Knot, Return or Gyro Ball, are marked as variable and are not calculated. Fixed-damage moves like Seismic Toss, Night Shade, Dragon Rage, Sonic Boom and Super Fang are handled.
